June 2022

Hi, everyone!

I have been feeding my creative soul this month, which is why The Eucalian is a little bit later than usual! I hope you have been doing the same, or whatever makes you feel content. For me, that means lots of drawing, spending time with my BFF, listening to music, looking at art, working towards my goals, and thinking about the future.

Let me tell you about all the collections, the products, and everything coming up really soon. It's so exciting.

 NEW COLLECTIONS NOW

Most recently, we have released two designs as Eucali collections: Pollination and Chlamydosaurus Kingii.

Pollination is all about the bird and the bee and their favourite plants. The illustration features a rainbow lorikeet with a blue-banded bee, surrounded by a weeping bottlebrush, a broad-leaved paperbark tree, a coastal rosemary, and a rambling grevillea -- all of which are Australian native fauna/flora! The lorikeet and blue banded bee are friends of the garden, pollinating and increasing the biodiversity of your environment, so I hope you get to see some of these (or the local equivalent wherever you are) in your backyard!

Chlamydosaurus Kingii is the scientific name of the frill-necked lizard, featured in this illustration. This lizard is hanging around a moreton bay fig, one of my favourite trees of all time. I just love their buttress roots, which means the roots of the tree grow out from the trunk of the tree and end up looking like a big supporting structure all around the trunk. There is also a little hidden staghorn, native to Australian rainforests and another favourite. The colours are inspired by Van Gogh's paintings, especially his self-portraits with the vivid contrast between the reds and greens.

You can check out the collections on the website, where crop t-shirts, regular t-shirts for all ages, tea towels, and tote bags are all available.

NEW PRODUCTS NOW: JUMPERS AND HOODIES

It's chilly now, at least in Brisbane. Definitely in other parts of Australia. Maybe not in our neighbouring, northern hemisphere, but you can always use a new jumper! By jumper, I mean sweatshirt :) Also, hoodies!

Eucali jumpers and hoodies are different from the rest of our designs, in that the focus is on the Eucali logo. You can get the classic logos (black and white transparent, as well as green), along with two new colourings, I Love Colour and Bushland Paradise (guess which is which):

All of our hoodies have a kangaroo pouch (and you'd better believe they have a hood) and all of our jumpers are crew neck. You can find and buy all of our jumpers and hoodies right here.

$59.95 each jumper and hoodie

This is the Precaffeinated collection: Precaffeinated Cockatoo and Precaffeinated Koala. Precaffeinated, regardless of whether you are an early bird person or a night owl. These mugs are made from enamel, which makes them ideal for children and camping (and the clumsy!)

The Precaffeinated collection will be available in July 2022.

Greeting cards and posters will be available in July 2022.

I'm just so excited to share all of this with you. I spent the weekend with my BFF at Palm Beach and it makes me realise that Australia is just endless inspiration. The trees and flowers, the animals, the bugs, the sand and the water. Then I look up and see the sunset, then the stars and planets, and I realise that it doesn't matter where I am, I can feed that hunger for creativity anywhere in the world. I hope you can too.

As always, if you have any questions or comments about Eucali or The Eucalian, you can leave us a message on the website here, or find us on Instagram. We want to hear from you, get your feedback, and have a conversation with you!

Cheers,

Morgan
